Wound up in Wexford

Well, it's been a weird day!

W is having to move his SIP investment from the UK, because he isn't allowed to live in Ireland and have an investment in the UK.  But it's highly complicated, and the company he was with in the UK wouldn't release the money until he'd had a meeting (phone, fortunately) with a regulator, to ensure he wasn't being scammed!  Took an hour of his time this morning, and was basically a waste of time!

Whilst he was enduring that, I moved some books, and started cleaning the newly decorated spare bedroom,  Once W was free, he helped to make the bed, and then we carried the unit that has been used to store CDs upstairs.

After lunch, I did a bit of hand stitching, before we took delivery of the trees I bought a couple of weeks ago.  We unpacked these (they were packed in straw), and then I did some fluting.  As I sat down to relax afterwards, realised I'd lost a ring.  It's always been a bit loose, but worse recently as I've lost some weight.

Checked the obvious places - no sign of it, so of course we had to go through the straw.  I haven't found it - hopefully it will turn up!

After dinner, we had just sat down to enjoy (not sure that's quite the right word) the last episode of One Day on Netflix, when a bat flew into the lounge, did three circuits of the room and flew out again.  We paused the programme, opened doors and windows, searched the house - no sign.

No idea how it got in - maybe down the chimney? - and no idea where it is now.  W suggests it will suck our blood whilst we are sleeping tonight!
