Shared moment at the start of the day

K & F look at photos together. Big day today with a dance show at school, plus dad coming in to do a talk to a class. We take F to his school. He’s initially reluctant, relatively easily bribed, and chats cheerfully most of the way about his upcoming birthday. Only 46 days to go. Home in now-traditional torrential rain then spend exciting day taking stuff to the dump (always very cheering), buying fish and watching badly behaved tennis players on TV, also cleaning the oven and doing ironing. Thrills indeed. Off to a comedy thing tonight, main challenge for me will be to stay awake.
