Orange beauty

I had a good morning helping to sort the compost and wormery in the garden and the sun was delightfully warm, enough anyway to entice this lovely butterfly out. I am not sure what kind it is and to be honest am too tired to look it up but it if you go large you can see the detail in the antennae. It has been a good day and I took the photo of the butterfly so that I could show it to the boys when they came home from school. Completely coincidentally B arrived home with a picture of the butterfly's life cycle as they had been talking about it in the reception class.
