Joe Hall- launch of Stirling Fringe Festival

I have just returned from the launch of Stirling's first Fringe Festival.

This will take place in September 12- 15 and cover theatre, art, comedy, music and much more.

The brainchild of founder and director Barry McDonald, it aims to put Stirling squarely on the map of the Scottish arts scene.

For too long we have lived in the shadow of the Edinburgh International Arts Festival on one side and the vibrant Glasgow arts scene on the other.
Joe Hall, founder and director of Creative Stirling is committed to raising the profile of the city and the Fringe Festival is one of the ventures to come out of that dream.

Four years ago when we started Forth Valley Open Studios we were told, " nothing happens here".

Not true. Lots of good stuff is going on and Stirling Fringe Festival is testimony to that
