From hailstones to hellebores

.... and crocuses, but mainly daffodils for St David's Day! If you look in the bottom right hand corner of my top left picture, you'll see hailstones that lingered some time after the short, sharp shower this afternoon.

These were all taken in our front garden, though I was actually at our daughter's for the hailstorm. Earlier, I had accompanied her to Lidl to sit in the car with the sleeping baby boy while she shopped. He woke just seconds before she returned to the car. He could have done with a much longer sleep as he's under the weather with a very runny nose and a bit of a cough. His sister isn't quite 100% either, but neither is she especially poorly. (She bounced back after a day off school, which she spent mostly sleeping.) The ups and downs of childhood!

Today is the first day spring in the horticultural calendar and everywhere is looking very colourful.  Thanks to Anni/BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday.
