Everyday People . . . Sly & The Family Stone

Today was our streets fund raising event for the local Hospice.  This year it was a lunch at Keri's.  Everyone brings a plate/dish/potluck and a donation.  A smaller gathering than usual but very pleasant.  A young couple new to the street came with their six month old baby.  He was a hit with everyone.  So calm and sweet with big smiles.  My dish was Kumara salad.  The forester has started digging up the Kumara patch and so far the crop is as successful as last year.
