The Birth of a Lake

Our day started with torrential rains. Luckily, we had no place to go. As tempted as I was to light the fireplace and open my Kindle, I spent most of the day housecleaning. Hubby did more straightening of files. Kim and family stopped by to pick up food I’d bought for her. Hubby picked up our lunch at the fire department’s annual dinner. We rested for an hour and are now at church. We’ve had a busy but rewarding Saturday. Meanwhile, we have a lake on our driveway. Hope your day was fun. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “The rain began again. It fell heavily, easily, with no meaning or intention but the fulfilment of its own nature, which was to fall and fall.” – Helen Garner
