Another Family Fun Sunday

What a day we’ve had. I met hubby for breakfast at our parish hall. There were plenty of Knights working that he was able to leave early so we could watch Brooklyn’s championship game. I am glad I got this shot of one of her baskets. They won 54-37. Brooklyn fouled out for the first time playing basketball; she took it well. She has a “twin” on the team and the refs got them confused a few times so she actually did not have 5 of her own fouls. She may never wear her hair braided like her “twin” in a game again. We picked up a fruit tray from Kristen for Isla’s first birthday party. Kris and Chris had tickets for the Caps hockey game so they missed the party. Most of our family and Renee’s sister’s family attended. My sister and BIL decided not to come since our BIL had COVID last week. Son Jamie (our host) and Parker were in Baltimore until late this evening. Parker was called unexpectedly to be in a commercial but we cannot say anything about it. He ran into this guy, Chase Young, a pro football player, at the studio. We had delicious Italian pasta entrees and they took quite awhile to bake. There were tons of apps and drinks in the mean time. Isla was not excited about her birthday cupcake. She calmed down when everyone sang happy birthday to her but would not smile. Not sure about the adults, but Isla and Willow were worn out after so much excitement. I tried several times to finish my write up but it was too noisy and hectic to concentrate. We are finally home in the utter quiet. Ahhh. I’d say we have had quite an eventful day. Hope your day was as exciting as ours. Stay safe. Thanks so much for stopping by with stars, hearts and kind comments. “The memories we make with our family are everything.” - Candace Cameron Bure
