Gasholder, Spire & Chimney

Like yesterday's, a long telephoto juxtaposition involving Salisbury's Cathedral Spire, at night - This time in almost total darkness, with the local gas-holder and a chimney from a terrace of houses, below. One I've wanted to try for a while.

Whacking up the iso to a potentially noisy 2,000 allowed a brighter than reality image to come about, through the half-minute exposure. I used the same lens and Mirror-Up mode of yesterday too and a similarly small aperture, to get the spire, a mile away as sharp as the chimney - about 200 yds.

The original reddish brown colouration was changed to black & white and that was what I was going to go with, but it looked just a bit flat. So, an amount of blue photo-filtration added to give it an edge.

Thanks to all who got the aforementioned fire tower and spire blip well up into the Spotlight - as always, much appreciated.
