On the border

Sleet here this morning, that evidently fell as rain on the higher hills. By the time I walked to the surgery this afternoon for yet another blood-pressure review it had warmed up a little and the rain had stopped.

While I was out I bought a couple of items from the greengrocer, before dashing back home in time for the electrician who was coming to install a new , more-modern timer, for our boiler. No need to rush, as he was almost an hour late, but no matter, he arrived and did the job. Should mean that the boiler will no longer be left on inadvertently for much longer than required.

When MrM arrived home from work we decided on fish & chips for tea (yes, again!), and he drove us up on to the moors above the snow line to eat them, looking over in to Derbyshire.

Just a little 'snuffly' during the day, but by late evening I had turned into a sneezing, streaming wreck. MrM and I watched a film, enjoyed a glass or two of red wine, and shared a box of tissues. Who said romance was dead!

The extra is a photo of yours truly taken many (at least 40) years ago. Lucy came across it a couple of weeks ago while she was looking through some old photos.
