Deliberate misquote?

       Of a naughty Antipodean bloke.  "Can you see where it is yet?"  Last year, all I/we saw of it was a couple of stalks.
      I reckoned without various factors; such as - If the Plant hasn't read the Book, it doesn't know what's expected of it.  AND - The anthropomorphic grim determination of some Plants.
      Right - Waffle over; have you seen the offshoot stalk as far to the left as the Flower stalk is to the right and both remain in the Picture.
     I have absolutely NO idea whether it's a "Runner" or a seedling; since I can't remember if/when it last ever flowered hidden under all next-door's vegetation.
