Cat?

Supporting the wall on the Old Manor in Southam. This is one of the oldest buildings in the town, and reputedly provided a bed for the night to Charles I just before the battle of Edgehill in the English Civil War. For most of the time I've lived here this has been a pharmacy, but it has recently changed to a shop.

I think the carving is a happy cat. There are various other such buttresses around the rest of the building with a range of human and animal faces.
