Looks a bit like crispy bacon! In fact it was a ceramic cactus... we get all sorts in our shop!

Apparently a customer had knocked it to the floor, gathered the bits up in a bowl and told Julie what had happened. Julie was extremely busy because her boss was coming, and it had escaped her mind until she asked me to colour coordinate the bric a brac shelves in an effort to make them look attractive.

The traffic on the way home was utterly appalling, mostly due to roadworks I think, although it was school pick up time....
