A moment of quiet reflection

Before a tumultuous end to the day with two of the most unexpected results in the Six Nations. Scotland lost to Italy and England beat Ireland. If you’d have bet on those two results you’d be rather better off tonight than you were this morning.

I’ve yet to watch the Scotland game, but more power to Italy, they’ve been so much more competitive this season and were unlucky only to draw against France.

England at last collectively lived up to their individual potential. Probably the best game of rugby I’ve seen for a while. I did think it was going to go Ireland’s way as they kept the scoreboard ticking over and Scotts a couple of great tries. It was not to be and there’s all to play for next weekend. It looks as if Wales and France may well be competing for the Wooden Spoon.

In other news, we all walked into town through Mote Park this morning, mainly for a coffee and to enjoy what we expect is the only sunshine for the coming week. Today’s blip was taken in the way home.

Susan and Barbara spent quite a few hours with Doreen this afternoon. I cooked dinner then went for a run. Soon time for chocolate!!!
