Red Tailed Bumblebee

Obviously! I spotted the bee lying comatose on the footpath as we were out walking this morning. Although sunny there was a biting north easterly breeze.

Susan persuaded the bee onto a leaf and transferred it to a nearby celandine where it began to forage amongst the pollen.

An early start as we had a couple of jobs done by the electrician and window fitter at 8am. All very good and helpful. New LED strip light in the garage. No more going in there wearing a head torch.

The old light had been wonky since we moved in 24 years ago. We’ve not rushed to replace it until it wouldn’t come on at all even when I’d changed the starter.

Barbara travelled down from Scotland for a few days to see her mum, Doreen which will give us a bit of respite.
