Dune

16yo and I headed into town to watch Dune Part Two, which was great. It seems likely there will also be a film of the second book in the original trilogy, Dune Messiah, but probably not any beyond that.

Which leaves me with the question as to whether to commit to another re-read. I first read these when I was about 15, then again at uni in the wake of David Lynch’s film version. Presumably one of the reasons I’ve hung onto these for 40 years is for another go at them.  To be honest, I’m not sure how my 15yo brain dealt with the weirdness, but that goes for a lot of the stuff I was reading at the time :)
