Sailing Doon the Watter

The Waverley, the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world, taken from the top of the 150 foot high Titan Crane at Clydebank.

The Camera Club had an exclusive visit to the crane this evening, timed for the Waverley's evening cruise to Kilcreggan. We had not been "tipped off" that there is criss-cross security wiring all around the top, and this presented problems for those of us with DSLRs and wide lenses. So my advice is to take a good wide angled compact if you get the chance to go up.

Superb views from the top, including plane spotting on the flight path into Glasgow Airport.
