Happy Mother’s Day!

Mum, and brother and s-in-law came over to lunch to celebrate Mother’s Day.  I kept it simple with a  chicken dish with roast plums followed by a marzipan cake with rhubarb and crème fraîche.  Very nice!  
Walked the dog first thing down to pick up the papers, listening to Ukrainecast and Fiona Hill’s reminiscence about meeting Putin.  Chilling. 

For the rest of the day after they’d gone home we cleared up and watch the last One Day- we’re slightly thank goodness that’s over, I was dreading watching the ending but we coped well and Leo Woodhall was terrifically good.

Nice to spend a day at home.
