Daft dog

Woody can stare at a ball for hours and then if you go towards it snatch it up and run off. Other times he nudges it towards you and if you don’t move towards it keeps barking until you do.  It’s all go on a Monday night in our house. 

Picked up on the Oscar results and gawped over the gowns first thing.  Disappointed that my friends that designed Barbie didn’t win but got a hilarious text from them.  I think the Barbie crowd went all out to be fun losers…I hope everyone has watched all of Ryan Gosling’s flawless, hilarious, turn doing I’m Just Ken.  Poor Things is produced by a sort of friend, a company that we’ve co produced with who are part of our parent company so I was glad for them. And for Emma Stone who is a lovely person and a great actress. 

Reading the news from Haiti with interest and concern given Rory was working there just before Christmas.  He was told that things would get difficult after Christmas as no one (especially Jimmy Barbecue who he was filming!) wanted the Kenyan peacekeepers to come.  It seems all of this uprising was planned long in advance.  

Walked in the morning but spent most of the day in the office only darting out to pick up some more compost at lunchtime in order to start off the dahlias.  

Watched another Mary & George, slightly creaky this time I felt.  Need a good new show!
