Perth Bridge

The cupboards have been bare for a few days. We’ve not been inside a supermarket since before I went to Seville! Today we were off to Tesco this morning to get stocked up.

Lunch, then we got the bus in to town to pick up a hyacinth plant. I found out it was my mum’s friend, Loreen, at Isla Court, 90th birthday today.

Got the plant and walked over this bridge to IC. We were lucky as Joe, one of the residents was going in so we went upstairs to the first floor to drop Loreen’s present off to her. As we got to the top of the stair’s here was Loreen ! We were shocked at her appearance. On Friday she had fallen and banged her head . Luckily she had her necklace on to press the button for help. She was taken to A and E and had 10 stitches in her head. She also has bad bruising on her nose and eye. Poor Loreen. She talked about her party at her daughter’s house yesterday . But understandably, was sad that her daughter Susan, a doctor, wasn’t there as she had died just a few months before Mum. Then she said that she thinks about Mum often and misses her and said it’s not the same without her here. She said that she still has the card sitting on the mantelpiece that I gave her when we left Isla Court for the last time after clearing out mums flat. Then as we were leaving she asked if we would see her again……

We popped into the lounge to see if anyone was sitting there for afternoon tea and chat. Zina was there and Denise and then the lady that now lives in Mum’s flat. Had a blether with them. Again, like last time it’s a sad feeling being there and mum not there.

Walked home and made a nice tea.

Been doing some research for Slovenia but need to get a travel book.

Today marks three years since we lost the best dog ever.
