The North River

From Quail Drive, a view
of the North Thompson River
shows how full it is.

The river is up. The weather is changing. It has been a fractious kind of day. A lot of running here and there and not much accomplished by the end of the day.

There is a crime scene taped off along the bike path adjoining our business property. Someone was found dead last evening and it is being investigated. However, no one has asked any questions of us. I would have thought that those residing/working near the area might be questioned.

New banking possibilities have been examined today. The big banks are certainly not small business friendly, regardless of their snazzy advertising. I asked how many small businesses could afford to have $65,000 sitting idle in a bank account every day just to satisfy the bank to allow them "free" services.

We have a marmot plaguing us at the business. All attempts to humanely trap and remove it to another location have met with failure. It has to go - one way or another! Today it was suggested that tomatoes are a sure enticement. We'll have another go with the trap. I sacrificed a salad for that marmot !!

We're promised heat this weekend. I suspect summer is about to arrive with a vengeance! I've started to move my bedroom downstairs to the coolest, quietest room.
