On High Pike

Yes I was on High Pike, with Sharp Edge and Blencathra behind. A fabulous moment.

The temperature was about 6C and there were pockets of snow on the ground. We walked at a sensible 4km/h from Fellside; I had poles and we walked steadily. Once there, I felt so good we decided to carry on to Carrock Fell. We then returned to Fell Side via Birk Hill and Dale Beck. All in all, it was 15.36km with 609m ascent and a decent lunch break, in 6hours. My back didn’t kick off at all, and I’m delighted with the achievement. It was great to catch up with Itth again after 16 months too.
