One Giant Leap For Squirrelkind

I don't know whether it's a food thing or the other thing, but squirrels are going nuts at the moment. Chasing each other up and down and round and around tree trunks like there's no tomorrow. There's a lot of chatter and agitation also.

Poor Mrs. Mallard was minding her own business, keeping out of the sun, trying to look after her feathers, when one of those squirrels came flying by doing an impression of superman. Most disconcerting.

Extra: Starting out. Another first for me, an Eastern Bluebird, looks to be a young male. I hope we get some nesting nearby. I would like to see a mature adult.
