Pickup at the Takeaway!

Well unsuccessful on this occasion.  The sparrowhawk has been in and around the elder tree the last couple of days but those little birds are not easily caught out.  Tony spotted him (we believe from the colouring it is a male bird) atop the hedgehog house, merging in nicely with the wall and our neighbour's shrubbery.  I took a few blips of him there before he suddenly flew in to the tree, and missed.  So, it was round to the other bedroom window to catch him there and this blip was taken as he flew towards me in another attempt at breakfast.  It's not the sharpest capture of him but I like the movement and that the head, and those intent eyes, are reasonably sharp.

According to the Reader's Digest Field Guide, he is an ambusher, very appropriate!

Now it's back to buffing the second half of the floor.
