Wet wet wet

It hasn’t stopped raining all day. I enjoyed (?) a very wet walk with Phin this morning. I enjoyed it so much I was wet on both the inside and the outside. That’s what I get for wearing the wrong jacket.

The afternoon was spent catching up on the ironing and getting bags packed to take with us tomorrow. The service of the caravan hasn’t shown up any major issues and they’ve managed to fix the bed frame temporarily until it’s reported and resolved as a warranty claim, so we’re off to collect it in the morning en route to Scarborough. I’m quite excited as I’ve never been. Home again on Monday.

Mr HL was still out with Phin when I headed off to the National Museum of Scotland for a free talk open to members on the topic of Insects in Amber. It was surprisingly well attended for a miserable misty, wet night in Edinburgh. There was a lot of technical detail and the speaker was a little hard to follow. His background was a Russian first degree followed by stints in the US and the British Museum and although he was clearly very passionate about his subject, it was quite a dry topic. I enjoyed doing something a bit different though.

I was racking my brain for a blip when I spotted this box where we keep some of Phin’s toys. Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting AbstractThursday.
