A day in the life

Fungus

A few days ago I had a blip about the low water levels in this part of the Baltic, today I have a blip about the extremely high levels in the watering basins the farmers are using for their irrigation. We've had lots of rain and snow this winter and everything is full to the brim. This is a good starting point if we get another dry spring and summer, then these supplies will soon be emptied of low again. I had a walk around one of the ponds today and saw that many trees that grows close to the pond, now has their roots under water. In this particular case, fungus has started to grow up the trunk, they seem to love this. The tree was too close to a fire during last summer, that's why the trunk is burned, maybe the fungus likes that too.
Lovely spring day today, it's still nine degrees warm in the evening.
