Tired

We said goodbye to our son and family today, after a lovely but busy week. We ended it by meeting up with our daughter and her daughter at the Transport Museum in Leyland (as in Leyland Motors).

It is a gentle, lovely little place, with lots of vehicles from horse drawn to steam and on to petrol and diesel. Lots of trucks and buses but also ambulances, fire engines, vans and even a Popemobile from 1982.

The children loved it as did the adults. And a cafe too. But as they drove home we felt quite tired.

The photo is of a steam driven trunk, highlighting a solid rubber tyre as my thumbnail. The truck had a crew of two, one to drive it and the other to keep the fire going.
