The Pensioner

Where are we?

Oh it’s wet and grey. I don’t take a photo all day - apart from this effort. We were on our way up to the Traverse to meet R&E and P&K to see Escaped Alone: "Caryl Churchill’s magnificent play unleashes an intricate, elliptical, acutely female view of the apocalypse.” Well, yes ma’am - a very great deal to enjoy, but slightly baffling, or didn’t I quite get it?
But then I don’t get so much. Governments at home are doing strange things attempting to outlaw extremism down there and hate up here. The media go ga-ga about some retouched photo of "Oor Cate” and a Tory donor reveals himself to be a racist oaf in an absolute shocker of a revelation. Oh and there was a budget. Councils may be going bust up and down the land and the public infrastructure is becoming shredded, but a few well aimed tax cuts will soon put a bounce in our steps. Spring is definitely here.
