Dolly's Day

BIRTHDAY BOY

My lovely boy Tino is 13 years old today. He still behaves like a youngster - dashing around the house and getting into mischief.  Never a dull moment when he's awake. He was on my bed when I took these photos - it was quite sunny at the time.  That didn't last and we got rain later.

I walked down to the village this afternoon ( before the rain started ).  Quick shop in Herons and then into Tesco to collect 7 parcels.   Back home to get a few chores out of the way before settling down to watch the footie on TV.

BBC1 were showing the FA Cup game between Manchester City and Newcastle. I wasn't hopeful of a win for Newcastle as Man City are " the best team in Europe ".  And Newcastle still have a few key players who are injured.  And even some of those who are playing are injured ... but can't be spared.as there's no-one to replace them. So the final score was Man City 2 Newcastle 0.  The twoMan City goals came from deflections so Newcastle were unlucky in that respect ... but Man City deserved to win for sure. Newcastle need to concentrate on the League now and get some points in the bag as they are mid - table and need to be higher . There is a break now while International matches are being played and the Newcastle team ( minus those who are playing for their country ) are off to Dubai for a bit of rest, relaxation and warm weather training.  Hopefully they will all come back fitter and ready to face the rest of the season.

Nothing much on TV after the match so I've been watching past episodes of " Mortimer and Whitehouse  - Gone Fishing ".  A favourite of mine.
