Edinburgh monuments

Back blip from yesterday when we caught the train with another couple to the capital city for an afternoon performance of Hamilton in the Festival Theatre - it was amazing  !

We split up on arrival and headed across Princess Street where the blip was taken - the Scott monument is the dominant feature although the castle can be seen to the left in the distance. Needless to say one of the more recent Edinburgh trams had to appear . I do have fond memories as a child of going on the original trams on visits to my grandparents.

We made our way up to George St for a coffee stop with St Andrews square at the East end and its 150 ft Melville monument in the centre ( extra).
