Engineering Marvel

A busy day split between reading an enormous agenda for a meeting tomorrow (429 pages!), and hedge cutting from the top of our new tripod ladder.

The photo is not from reading the agenda. I did not see this nest until I had cut the branches it was attached to. We wondered whether it was constructed this year (or an old one with new moss), and which bird had built it. The nest is about 3 inches across. BrambleBlossom thought it might have been by a Wren. Any ideas?
