Not far from Aylesbury is this Energy from Waste Facility. We were on a conducted tour around this facility to see how non recyclable household waste is burnt to drive a steam powered generator.

The facility is generating enough energy to power 65000 homes and is replacing the traditional method of land filling to dispose of the waste.
