A brief glimpse from the torrent of my current ether; through a one way pane (for quite a while yet I'm afraid).

Lots of good things going on all at the same time, but so worthwhile.

A few of the many things listed below if of interest.

Southwell Pool Group
* Southwell Town Council (STC) pulled into open involvement - Chairman and Clerk have both resigned following our questions at the last monthly council meeting.
* Newark & Sherwood District Council slowly having to back down. Most recently they've agreed to pay the legal fees for the Pool Trust to review their structure and options - looping in STC
* We're looking to bring it back into being community run as it was "profitable" and had £0.5m cash until it was wasted over Covid.

Chronic - Pain Research
Been invited and participating in another pre-study research group - on benefits of mindful self touching primarily on the face

Minster - Bach's St John's Passion
A standout concert with the Musical Amicable Society performing with period instruments - including multi stringed violins and cello (10 & 6 respectively I think). Many Lay Clerks did solo slots in additional to guest professionals - and a few of the young choristers sang small parts solo too. I've realised that SJP is much more to my taste than the marathon St Matthews Passion, albeit with it's high profile catchy small section.
