Life Is A Minestrone

Tonight’s entertainment was 10cc playing at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on their Greatest Hits Tour. Okay, Graham Gouldman might be the only original member in the current line up, but Rick Fenn (guitar) and Paul Burgess (drums) have both been in the band for nearly fifty years, so I reckon we can say we were seeing the performing 10cc if not the creative version.
Whatever, it was an excellent show, proving that being in your seventies is no bar to playing loud and fast. A good romp through all their well known hits, with a few more recent offerings thrown in for good measure.
It’s been a long day though. I went to the gym this morning and actually had it to myself for nearly all the hour I was there - most surprising. Straight after lunch we headed off to Manchester so we could do a bit of shopping and have some tea before the concert. But it’ll be at least midnight before we get back home.
And I’m doing it all again tomorrow!
