Yesteryear

I imagine Belmont Street today looks much as it did one hundred years ago. The signs may have changed, probably the cobblestones were not as colourful.

Properties in this street were once owned by wealthy merchants, only one of these still remains and it is not visible in this photograph. It looks like later properties were not of similar grandeur.
