Thrifty Thursday

Repair, Reuse, Recycle - https://www.oneearth.org/repair-reuse-recycle-how-britain-is-tackling-throwaway-culture/

We woke up to a drizzly day, wind has moved to southwest and felt very cold after yesterday’s warmth :-(

MrD decided to jet wash the path/patio at the back of the house, after moving the “new/refurbished” garden table and chairs to their permanent position behind the garage.

The original seats were behind the sawhorse - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3207462022308430900 - some of the timber has been reused to make my garden potting bench (which needs a top, which will probably be reclaimed wood). Most of the waste wood has been reused as kindling, with some drying out in the homemade log store - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/4224683

MrD and I were brought up by thrifty parents, post war in the Welsh countryside wages were low and there wasn’t much spare cash.
Our offspring in turn, have all made things they needed from items which were discarded by someone else :-)

Watched “Irish Wish” on Netflix this afternoon, much too cold to do anything outside.

Fish & Chips for tea and we watched “Out of Sight” on iPlayer starring George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez, a brilliant film which we’ve watched many years ago.

Pouring rain against our side windows, log burner lit, we were warm and cozy watching “The Monuments Men” until bedtime …

Love and hugs to all my family XXXX XXX XX

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
