Keep watching the ..... ? What? The skies? The oceans? The shopping malls? The aliens are freaking everywhere these days!

A few days ago, I chanced upon an incredible story on YouTube. On January 1st this year, a scuffle broke out between six or seven teenagers at the Bayside Market Mall in Miami. They wielded sticks and threw firecrackers. Gunshots were mistakeny reported, after which around sixty police cars, and a S.W.A.T. team, descended upon the mall as dozens of shoppers ran out screaming, terrified.

Well, that's one version. Dozens of the terrified people who were in the mall witnessed seeing three ten foot tall shadow beings step out of a portal that opened up in the mall. Some people witnessed a group of four or five teenagers with backpacks cause the portal to open using a device that one of them plugged into a socket by a tree. The device resembled a V.H.S. tape player. 

As well as the upwards of sixty police cars and S.W.A.T. team that descended upon the mall, there were also helicopters and a no-fly zone was put in place in the vicinity of the mall. Doesn't that seem rather excessive for a small group of rowdy teenagers with sticks and firecrackers?

So, why is there no phone camera footage of this? Well, many of the people who say they saw the shadow creatures were too terrified to think about filming it. Understandable. Others who tried to film it found their cameras didn't work. Some who did film it had their cameras taken by the police who then deleted the footage. Although there have been several requests for the police to present their body-cam and dash-cam footage, none has been forthcoming (although the police are legally obliged to hand over any such footage upon request.) Many shop owners have claimed they have no security camera footage because they always turn off the cameras when the shops close at 7:30 (the portal opened a short while after that.) Huh? Surely security cameras stay on 24/7, don't they?

In an effort to quell the social media frenzy about ten foot alien shadow beings in the mall, the Miami Police Department recorded a video statement assuring the population that, "There are no aliens in Miami at the moment." At the moment? So there were? If that was an attempt at humour, it was extremely ill-considered considering the gravity of the situation.

I first heard about the Miami Mall incident via Caspersight, an entertaining YouTube vlogger based in England. He made several videos on the subject with some pretty intriguing accounts and footage, although he is not that well informed, I would say. Far more well-informed is Omar Gosh and his friend Jasko. If you don't mind being terrified, I highly recommend you watch this video and especially this video which will absolutely blow your frickin' mind!

Okay, I'll admit it, straight up, I have been waiting pretty much my entire life for aliens to reveal themselves to us. Right now, I am convinced that that time is coming very, very soon. If that makes me a crazy, lunatic tin-foil hat wearer, so be it.
