Sgwarnog: In the Field

Bumper

There was a bumper crowd of 900 at Guiseley for the visit of Ilkeston Town, with extra visitors drawn in by the annual Non-League Day.

Guiseley had a strong wind behind them in a first half. They had a host of glorious chances, including a missed penalty, but fell behind before pulling one back: 1-1 at the break. The second half was more contested, but a second goal for Ilkeston was enough to win the game. 1-2 the final score and a set-back in Guiseley’s play-off hopes.

My camera packed up early on for what seemed mysterious reasons at the time, but may well have just been battery issues. I switched to me phone for a couple of pictures near the end of the game and am pretty happy with the results. Good for a 'spot the ball' competition too.

Later, 19yo arrived for a fleeting visit and overnight stop for a gig in Leeds, and it was good to catch up a bit.
