Quod oculus meus videt

Rosie and Rich

It seems a truism that as you get older you attend more funerals than weddings, so it was with the greatest of pleasure that we headed to Rowton Castle in Shropshire to attend the marriage of Rosie and Rich this Saturday.  Rich is the son of one of my cousins and we have watched him grow up into a very impressive gentleman over the last twenty or so years.  He is so lucky to have met Rosie, a kindred spirit who enjoys similar pleasures and is a genuinely beautiful person, inside and out.

Despite the forecast, we had a brief window in the weather for the photos, carried out by Amie, our nephew's wife.  We'd not seen her in action before, she was so professional and we are sure the photos will do credit to her skill and the day.

It was a long day, and we stayed over in the castle, sleeping in a four poster bed in a room in the highest point of the castle.  L is sure there was a poltergeist as we heard knocking throughout the night.
