One life to live

Palm Sunday

Today was Palm Sunday so the little witches wandered from door to door, and brought decorated willow twigs as blessings to drive away evil spirits, in return for treats. The witches recited a traditional rhyme at the door: Virvon, varvon, tuoreeks terveeks, tulevaks vuodeks; vitsa sulle, palkka mulle! (In translation: I wave a twig for a fresh and healthy year ahead; a twig for you, a treat for me!). This year 10 Easter witches visited us. Photo of willow twigs as an extra.

Emma returned from her skiing trip from Sweden in the morning. It was great trip, she said. But exhausting too!

My day was bright (even though weather was cloudy) because both Emma and Leevi came over in the afternoon! It was great to catch up with them <3

Leevi participated to annual ball of Indecs guild last Friday, and he was awarded with a decoration of merit (with a special kind of sash) for meritorious work for the benefit of the guild. We are so proud of our clever, active and diligent son!

0°C, cloudy
