Covehithe - again

While I'm by the sea I like to rise early and be out walking on the beach getting my dose of iodine.

This morning the hound and I were enjoying the solitude at 7.30am.  Other dog walkers prefer the heath to the beach.  Being on the beach works for us as the hound cannot abide dogs that charge broadside at him.  He simply doesn't comprehend the rules of canine playful engagement.

My previous greyhounds shied away and stayed near me in freeze mode.  Kyro is in fight mode.  Both different displays of fear.  In the interest of dog safety and any avoidance of litigation or extortionate veterinary bills I've resorted to putting a muzzle on Kyro.  Racing greyhounds are used to the muzzle and Kyro has accepted it and has seemed calmer with it.

I noticed foamy pollution this morning on Kessingland beach.

This afternoon Mr feeling better we visited Covehithe again.  Today was warmer than yesterday and without the chilly wind.

There was some beautifully textured driftwood on the beach.  Not seen shells on beaches only varied sized pebbles. .Sadly also pollution in the form of oily channels parallel to the shore stretching for many metres separating sand from sea and foamy pollution being blown onto the sand.   Terrible that our coasts and waterways are not cared for in the interests of safety to humans and biodiversity.

On a positive note we hear skylarks on the heath and land  near the beach.

We're all pleasantly tired from our walks.  The hound has enjoyed his outings and not flagged until back at our cottage when he feels into a deep slumber.

Weather has been very good unlike back home.  Tonight we have rain but tomorrow's forecast is fine.

Extras: Covehithe church from the beach,
Foamy pollution

Pleasant evening everyone
