CyclopsJnr borrowed this very interesting book from the school library. It is set up like a ring binder with sections and dividers, and it is all about fun science facts and experiments that you can do at home.

Today we found a hole in the knee of CyclopsJnr's school trousers, and a jaggedy rip under the armpit of his school coat. Luckily he only needs to make them last until the end of Thursday as then it'll be summer uniform until October and he'll surely have grown out of everything by then anyway. Although - with just one more cycle of winter uniform left of junior school we are considering setting about the coat with some superglue.
