Puffinus puffinus

Terrible photo as they are rather far away and not helped by my having the wrong ISO setting but, excuse me. MANX FLIPPING SHEARWATERS!

Am extremely pleased because I have never seen any of these before. They were very cool, flipping from side to side and showing their black tops and white undersides alternately. I could hardly believe my eyes when I looked out and saw them flipping about.

They are an oceanic species and only come onshore to breed.
