Magnolia 'Fragrant Cloud'

Out for lunch today with a couple of my teaching cronies. We all agreed that we retired at the right time hike there were still blackboards in the classroom and we teachers used chalk.

I had time for a wander round the plant section of the garden centre ...... always a beautiful display of spring flowering shrubs and plants. I spotted this rather splendid magnolia with its very large price tag. It was about five and a half feet high and knowing that it wouldn't fit in my car it was easy to keep my cards in my bag!

A very cold, miserable morning ..... things are a bit better now as early evening approaches.
