Easter Flowers

Two sunny days in a row. Can we make it to three and create a record before the rainy days next week? It makes such a difference to my mood wakening up to sunshine.
At the moment I am watching  nine lads playing kick about on the Meadows, topless and bare footed. It doesn’t seem warm enough for people to sit on the grass, but maybe it’s too wet. I wouldn’t be surprised if the water table is 2” beneath the grass such has been the rainfall this month.

It was lovely to see the Elgin family yesterday. The twins are newly 18 and about to leave school and choose their universities for next year. Seems like Edinburgh could be one of the ones they choose. My daughter- in- law gave me this beautiful bunch of flowers which are so colourful, I can’t help smiling as I pass them.

They brought down with them a big heavy, antique picture frame from a friend of daughter#1 which she will restore and re gild. It was a business she did when she lived up in Cullen and is now restarting back in Edinburgh. It a niche craft and most of it’s done in the big galleries by their own specialist teams but she is trying to find a private clientele.

I have put all the clocks in house forward an hour  so I get used to it before tomorrow morning. That means it’s teatime  now!
