A witch

Easter Sunday dawned bleak and cold here. We headed west to the Montgomery/Shropshire border for an even colder, bleaker walk to the Bronze Age Mitchell's Fold stone circle beneath Corndon Hill. The large standing stone within the stone circle is, of course, a witch. Then it was on over Stapeley Hill to the Castle Ring hill fort, Rorrington Hill and Valley Knoll where we crossed the Holy Well spring (until the late 19th century the springs were decorated at Easter) and started our return journey.
