A time for everything

Dunham Massey

Saturday
We actually had a dry day today, with a fair amount of sun, though still on the cool side. Roger spent some of the day working with Janet trying to assemble a big sturdy plastic container for his Dad’s two wheelie bins. Previously they have been in a wooden enclosure that Bernard had built years ago when they first moved into the house. However, over the years the wood has rotted, and it needed replacing. The instructions were all in drawings, and not very easy to follow. The box said about 25 minutes to assemble - well they were at it for about 1 1/2 hours, and still weren’t finished! Roger and I got out for a few hours in the afternoon to Dunham Massey, a beautiful National Trust property fairly close to them, which has lovely gardens and a deer park. As you can see from my collage, it was looking a picture in its Spring finery.
In the evening we all went out to eat at the Beefeater - Janet had a coupon for 40% off all main courses, which she couldn’t resist!
Tonight the UK puts the clocks forward, so we get to lose an hour’s sleep for the second time this year- since we had already changed our clocks in the US!
