Fool's Errand

I last walked into the Frimley Fuel Allotments about six months ago, and it wasn't until I was heading back that I noticed I'd lost the hood from my Canon lens. I did try retracing my steps a bit, but it was late and I was tired, so bit the bullet and bought a new one.

Today I stopped on the way home and headed in for a quick walk in a half-hearted chance of spotting the missing hood. Clearly not going to happen as even if I followed exactly the same route, the thing could have been buried, picked up or whatever.  So this was definitely a Fool's errand, but it did provide me with a selection of B&W images to work up into a triptych for today's Mono Monday challenge!
