Marsh Marigold

In line with an Easter weekend traditional activity (apart from hunting for bunnies and eggs) I did a bit of gardening today, including clearing the pond of algae and cutting back the self-seeded buddleia bushes; the garden bin is now full to brimming so that's it to now!

Before heading in for dinner I grabbed some shots of the Marsh Marigold glowing in the late afternoon light. They are rather too prolific in my small pond, but they do light up the area, which by this time of day is in shade, so I'm happy for them to do their thing before I thin them out later in the year.
