Bullfinch on the apple tree

We have watched two couples nibbling the apple tree on recent mornings although never had a camera to hand. This attempt was too far for the zoom however it is there for the record - if we had one. This afternoon one pair has moved onto a Rowan at the back of the property, too high for the camera though.

Also for the same ‘unkept’ record there is blossom on the damson (shown) and plum trees, as with everyone we hope the frost doesn’t kill all potential fruit, we have yet to grow a good crop on any of the three trees.
